Submitting Artwork
Artwork can be submitted via e-mail, or physical hard copy. The artwork requirements vary depending on the type of decoration, i.e. screen printing, embroidery, or digital. Please feel free to contact our Art Department with any questions regarding the submission of art work; this could possibly save art fees and/or production time.
Screen Printing
Vector format is the best format for us to receive a design from a program such as Adobe Illustrator or Coreldraw, with file extensions of .eps, .ai, or .cdr. We also accept .jpeg, .bmp, .pdf, and .psd but this may require an additional cost to convert into a compatible format for screen printing. When submitting artwork, please make sure all text has been converted to curves or outlines and that all outline are set to scale. When it comes to colors in your design, please use only Pantone Spot colors, not CMYK or RGB. In addition, all computer generated artwork must be MAC or PC based.
Embroidery
Embroidery designs are not required to be in vector format, but it can be useful. Jpeg, .bmp, .tif, .pdf, and .psd are the most common formats as long as the image quality is 150 dpi or higher.
FAQ's
Hand drawn artwork is acceptable as long it is black and white, using a black felt tip pen (not a ballpoint pen or pencil). Hand drawn, colored designs may require an art fee.
Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point are not vector based graphics, but can be used to present an idea for your artwork, and provide a starting point for us to create a final design.
Web-based images such as .jpeg, .gif, .tif, and .bmp are the least desirable formats, and are often very low quality. They can be used as a reference but will more than likely incur art charges in order for the artwork to be recreated.
